AIDS Walk Buffalo set for Saturday

With one day left until the 24th Annual AIDS Walk Buffalo kicks off lakeside at Delaware Park, the donation goal has been met. But, Evergreen Health services could provide even more life-saving care and services to the people they assist if Western New York steps up to CRUSH that goal by far exceeding the $90,000 benchmark. (It's at $108,000 as of this publication.)

Walker and Team registration begins at 9 a.m., with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. and the Walk kicking off at 10:30. Walkers who raise $50 or more will receive an official AIDS Walk Buffalo T-shirt, and there are various other commemorative items given to donors at higher levels. Check that out here.

Don't want to walk? Sponsor someone else or, make a general donation. Not able to donate? Never underestimate the value of being a volunteer or simply being there, either to join the walk or support those who walk.

The funds raised by AIDS Walk stay exclusively in Western New York through EHS (formerly AIDS Community Services of WNY, Inc.), which provides services such as:
Primary Health Care; HIV/AIDS Specialty Care; LGBT Specialty Care; Mental Health Services; Housing/nutrition assistance; HIV, STI, & Hepatitis C Screening, and
Transportation Assistance for "individuals and families in Western New York, especially those in marginalized populations and/or challenged by chronic or life
threatening diseases."
