4 from UB named to All-MAC Football Team

BUFFALO -- Four University at Buffalo players were named to the All-Mid-American Conference football team, the league announced on Wednesday. Tight end Mason Schreck and linebacker Khalil Hodge were named to the second team while running back Jordan Johnson and center James O’Hagan were named third team.

Schreck had by far his best season as a Bull. The senior tight end finished the year with 59 catches for 651 yards and four touchdowns. He had 10 more catches than his first three seasons combined and his 651 receiving yards were the most ever by a tight end in school history.

In only his first season at Buffalo, Hodge made an immediate impact. The sophomore linebacker led the Bulls with 123 tackles, the eighth most in school history for a single season and second most by a player in UB's FBS era. He posted double-digit tackles in seven games and his 10.3 tackles per game average ranked eighth nationally.

Johnson took full advantage of his first full season as Buffalo's starting running back. The Bulls' senior rushed for 1,040 yards on 200 carries for a 5.2 yards-per-carry average. He had the best game by a running back in UB history when he rushed for a school-record 282 yards against Akron on October 27. Johnson scored seven touchdowns on the season, including six on the ground.

O'Hagan started every game at center for the Bulls for the second straight season. A sophomore, he helped pave the way for Johnson's 1,000-yard season. He is just the second UB center to be named All-MAC, joining Jamey Richard who was selected to the second team in 2007.
