The Canisius College golf team gets back to action Sunday and Monday when the team travels to Hellertown, Pa., to take part in the Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Invite, hosted by Lafayette College.

Canisius is one of 18 teams in this year's Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Invite Field. The Griffs will be playing against Bryant, Colgate, Drexel, Fordham, Holy Cross, Hofstra, Lehigh, Manhattan, Monmouth, Niagara, Rider, Robert Morris, Saint Peter's, Villanova, Wagner and UConn. The Silver Creek Country Club is a 6,655-yard, par-72 course that opened in 1934. The course was designed by famed golf course architect Donald Ross. Orginally a nine-hole track called The Steel Club thanks to its affiliation with Bethlehem Steel's world headquarters, Silver Creek Country Club is one of the last courses that Ross had a hand in designing before his death in 1948. Silver Creek Country Club is the home course for Lafayette's golf program. The facility served as a host site for The Golf Association of Philadelphia's US Open qualifier in May 2016.
