New NU hockey coach to be introduced Sunday

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY -- Niagara University President Rev. James J. Maher, C.M. and Director of Athletics Simon Gray will introduce Jason Lammers, the new head coach of the Purple Eagles hockey team, at a press conference at 2 p.m. Sunday in the newly-renovated Clet Dining Commons on the campus of Niagara University.

Members of the media, campus community, alumni and fans are all invited to attend.

On Monday, Lammers was announced as the third head coach in the history of Niagara hockey. Lammers comes to Niagara after two seasons as the head coach and general manager of the United States Hockey League's (USHL) Dubuque Fighting Saints, and he brings 15 years of NCAA coaching experience to Monteagle Ridge.
