This game had everything!
A four hour, and 19-minute marathon began with David Price on the hill for Pawtucket and ended with Rowdy Tellez's 13th-inning home run off an infielder. In the end, just a few minutes before the clock struck midnight, the Bisons came away with a 7-5 victory in front of a fridaynightbash! crowd of 12,380 at Coca-Cola Field.
Tellez took advantage of Red Sox second baseman Mike Miller on the mound for his second inning of work. The Herd's first baseman drove a two-run game-winning homer down the right field line, just clearing the wall.
The home run made a winner of another position player, as Bisons' infielder Ian Parmley pitched a pair of scoreless innings himself, retiring five in a row at one point.
Entering the ninth down one, Pawtucket designated hitter Allen Craig reached on an error by shortstop Jonathan Diaz. He then advanced to second on a fielder's choice and former Bisons' slugger Matt Dominguez singled up the middle to plate the tying run.
What seemed like ages before that, Price pitched a pair of innings for Pawtucket, allowing three runs on five hits. Jake Elmore set the tone for the southpaw's night, battling him for 15 pitches before doubling to right-center.
Though Price got out of that jam with three straight strikeouts, the Bisons got to him in the second. Raffy Lopez hit an opposite field home run in the second for a 1-0 lead before Elmore singled home two more for the 3-0 advantage.

Pawtucket pulled to within 3-2 in the fourth before the Herd took back the lead in the sixth inning on Jonathan Diaz's sac fly. The PawSox tied the score 4-4 in the seventh before the Buffalo momentarily took the lead 5-4 on another single from Elmore.
Elmore finished the game 3-5 with a double, a walk and three RBI.
Mat Latos started for the Herd and allowed two runs over six innings in a no-decision.
