NU track and field concludes season at MAAC Championships

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Morgan Palmer set two personal records, including a school record, as the Purple Eagles finished their season at the 2017 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday.

Meet Marks (Field)

  • Morgan Palmer set a school record in the discus throw. Palmer's discus throw of 42.30m on her fifth throw set the record while also finishing fourth to give Niagara five points.  Maggie Gerard was 16th(31.71) and Erin Clark was 19th with a season-best throw (29.20m).
  • In the shot put, Palmer set a personal best with a toss of 11.91m to finish 10th which was .05m away from qualifying for the finals.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
