TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- A 29-year-old Lockport man was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal possession of a weapon following an incident on Dysinger Road on Monday.

According to New York State Police, Rapids Volunteer Fire Department responded to 6489 Dysinger Road for an activated fire alarm within the apartment building. At the scene, fire personnel were confronted by a resident, Corey W. Bilby, who was disorderly and hindering the fire personnel from performing their duties. Rapids Fire requested law enforcement assistance.

Troopers and Niagara County Deputies arrived. Bilby refused to return to his apartment and became combative with uniform patrols.
