Buffalo bounced back beating Durham 8-3

A home run by Mike Ohlman started a six-run rally in the seventh to seal the win over the Bulls 8-3 Wednesday night at Coca-Cola Field.

Facing a third consecutive loss, the Bisons trailed the Bulls 3-2 entering the bottom of the seventh. Jason Leblebijian led off the inning with a line drive single into right. Mike Ohlman then stepped into the box and delivered a huge fly ball that cleared the wall in right for a two-run blast to give Buffalo the lead.

Buffalo did not stop there; Roemon Fields reached on a fielder's choice, then stole second and moved into third after a wild throw. Dwight Smith Jr. beat out an infield single that allowed Fields to score on the play. Gregorio Petit was issued a free pass to set up a RBI single into right for Rob Refsnyder. In the ensuing at-bat, Rowdy Tellez ripped a ball off the wall in right to score two runs as he reached second safely with a two RBI double. The Herd sent a total of ten batters to the plate as they collected five hits to score six runs grabbing an 8-3 advantage in the seventh.

The Herd managed to get on the board first in the second inning without recording a single hit. Rob Refsnyder led the inning off with a walk. Rowdy Tellez then hit a comebacker to the pitcher who threw the ball into center on the double play attempt, allowing both runners to advance into second and third. With two on, a sacrifice fly off the bat of Jason Leblebijian brought home Refsnyder and provided Buffalo with the 1-0 lead.

The third inning started off with Jon Berti doubling down the line in left. The next batter Dwight Smith Jr. traded places with him ripping a double to left to bring in the run and extend Buffalo's advantage to 2-0 in the third.
