Buffalo's offense silenced, losing 4-0 to Indians

Coming in on a five game win streak, Buffalo's bats stalled as they were shut out by Indianapolis losing 4-0 Monday night at Victory Field.

The Indians starter Steven Brault pitched a gem for his club. The lefty allowed only three hits and two walks through seven scoreless innings setting down a pair of batters on strikes. The win improved Brault's record to 9-5 on the year.

All of the game's scoring came in one inning. Through three scoreless innings, the Indians broke things open in the fourth. With the bases loaded and no outs Elias Diaz sent a ball into the corner for a two-run RBI double. Two more runs came in to score on a double to deep center by Phil Gosselin to give Indianapolis a 4-0 lead over the Herd.
Joe Biagini was given the start for the Bisons in game one of the road trip. He only faired three innings allowing two runs on three hits with just one strike out. Chris Rowley came on to replace Biagini in the fourth yielding two more runs, this time on four hits with five strike outs in five innings of relief. The loss was Biagini's first of the year to give him a 0-1 record.

Buffalo will look to return to the win column in game two against the Indians Tuesday night. First Pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Bisons Notes: Gergorio Petit, Danny Jansen and Jon Berti collected the three Bisons hits… Buffalo had more walks (4) than hits (3).
