Jamestown traffic stop leads to pot possession charges

JAMESTOWN -- A 30 year old Jamestown man was charged on March 26th, 2018 with unlawful possession of marijuana following a routine traffic stop.


According to New York State Police, Carrillo Santos was pulled over on East 2nd Street in Jamestown for a traffic violation and while speaking to Carrillo Santos, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. Carrillo Santos was found to be in possession of a marijuana cigarette and subsequently arrested. 


Carrillo Santos was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket, both of which are returnable to the city of Jamestown Court on a later date.
