Buffalo State places six on All-Region track & field teams

Track All-RegionBUFFALO, N.Y. -- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their regional awards for the outdoor season and six Buffalo State student-athletes were honored on the All-Atlantic region team.
 
Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) was all-region in two events on the women's side (800 and 1,500-meters), while Robert Liebel (Tonawanda/Tonawanda)  was all-region in three events (100 and 200 meters and 4x100 relay).  Benjamin Fairweather (Brooklyn/Kurt Hahn Expeditionary) (4x100 relay), Elijah Lawal(Duanesburg/Duanesburg) (4x100 relay), Cody Sikora (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) (400 meters), and Eric Vassell (Bronx/Mt. St. Michael) (4x100 relay) also earned the honor for Buffalo State's men's team.
 
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast, West – match those used during the cross country and indoor track & field season.
 
On the men's side, a total of 743 athletes from 192 programs earned 948 All-Region honors. On the women's side, a total of 667 athletes from 184 programs earned 940 All-Region honors.
