Purchase College celebrates the achievements of nearly 1,100 students at its 46th Annual Commencement Ceremony

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Nearly 1,100 students were welcomed as alumni on May 18 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains at Purchase College's Commencement Ceremony. The following local students graduated:

Jacob Acee of Clarence Center graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music: Performance Instrumental.

Maria Albanese of Kendall graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance.

William Anderson of West Falls graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design/Technology.

Drew Burt of Scio graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance.

Amelia Carter of Rochester graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Society and the Arts.

Ben Havey of Kenmore graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.

Justin Hess of Buffalo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in New Media.

This year's ceremony honored the contributions of two outstanding alumni. Acclaimed actor Jay O. Sanders '76 and New York State Assemblywoman Latrice Walker '01 received the President's Award for Distinguished Alumni.
