Nazareth College named to Princeton Review's '384 Best Colleges'


ROCHESTER, NY (08/07/2018) Nazareth College is proud to be on the list for another year as one of the country's best institutions for undergraduate education. The Princeton Review named Nazareth one of The Best 384 Colleges in the new 2019 edition of its annual college guide. Nazareth College is also ranked 16th for the Best Town-Gown Relations, which is one of the Princeton Review's 62 breakout surveys based on what students surveyed at Nazareth reported about their opinions of and experiences at Nazareth. The Princeton Review also posts the book's ranking lists on its website Princeton Review.

The College earns high marks across the spectrum that Princeton Review uses to evaluate colleges. On a scale of 100, the Quality of Life rating is at 92, and fire safety rating at 93, and green rating at 73. Nazareth's overall academics rate 87, with an 87 rating for interesting professors. The survey says Nazareth students are happy, lab facilities are great, internships are widely available, students get along with local community, students love Rochester, N.Y., it's easy to get around campus, and theatre is popular.

In its profile on Nazareth College, Princeton Review quotes extensively from Nazareth students surveyed for the book. Among their candid comments on the College: Classrooms are filled with "an array of professors that come from both theory backgrounds and real-world experience backgrounds." The faculty is "by far one of the best strengths of Nazareth College." Peckham Hall, the new science building, has "beautiful labs" for biology and chemistry, and Nazareth has "great internship and clinical experiences." The School of Health and Human Services is also well known for its top-notch facilities that allow students to run pro-bono clinics right on campus.

One of The Princeton Review's most popular guides, The Best 384 Colleges rankings are based on surveys of 138,000 students at 384 top colleges that includes a wide representation by region, size, selectivity and character. Published annually since 1992, the book has detailed profiles of the colleges with rating scores in eight categories as well as ranking lists of top 20 schools in 62 categories.
