Buffalo State women’s volleyball swept at St. John Fisher

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Buffalo State dropped a three-set match tonight at St. John Fisher, falling 25-19, 25-15 and 25-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • St. John Fisher led wire-to-wire in the first set, then used an early 10-2 run to create separation in the second set, and again never trailed to claim the final set.
  • Buffalo State produced just 18 total kills, compared to 46 by the Cardinals.
  • Bryanna Fisher (Brooklyn/Midwood) finished with nine of those kills to go with a pair of blocks.
  • Abby Mosher (Little Falls/Little Falls) had two aces.
  • Brooke Federko (Jamestown/Jamestown) recorded 12 assists, while Brittney Valentine(Marietta/Marcellus) totaled 13 digs.
 
FOR THE FOES

  • Alea Steigerwald led St. John Fisher with 16 kills and 16 digs.
