Niagara selects leading secondary ticket marketplace TickPick as preferred partner

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - – Niagara University and Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment's Collegiate Division are proud to announce TickPick, LLC, as the Preferred Secondary Ticket Marketplace of the Purple Eagles.

The partnership will allow TickPick to serve as the secondary ticketing platform for Niagara Athletics, including tickets priced at face value for Purple Eagles events. The multi-faceted partnership will also provide TickPick with high-level exposure and engagement throughout the Niagara campus and the Buffalo area via signage, promotions, online and social media programs, as well as upcoming contests where Purple Eagles fans can win one of a kind experiences and tickets to exciting area events.

"TickPick will provide MAAC and AHA leader Niagara University with a world-class ticket marketplace for their faculty, students, and fans alike," Paul Jones, Head of Business Development for TickPick said. "This is an exciting opportunity and we are committed to building upon this partnership with Niagara University."

TickPick features an industry-leading approach to ticket selling with its all-in pricing and reduced fees. The company offers simplified transactions without hidden fees or commissions which compare favorably to the 25% or more in total fees charged by competitors.

"Niagara Athletics is excited to welcome TickPick, an emerging leader in the sports and entertainment ticket industry, as a valued corporate partner," Simon Gray, Niagara Director of Athletics, said. "I am confident that their innovative approach will benefit Purple Eagle fans in Niagara County and throughout Western New York."

Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, the sponsorship and multimedia rights partner for Niagara Athletics, worked with TickPick leadership to develop the partnership.

Since 2014, VWSE Collegiate Services has become a leader in college sports marketing and developed to represent the sponsorship or multimedia rights for multiple schools and athletic conferences, including the America East Conference, Big South Conference, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Colonial Athletic Association, Western Athletic Conference, and the West Coast Conference, as well as Arizona State National Sales, Canisius College, East Tennessee State University, Florida International University, Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, Liberty University, Longwood University, Loyola Marymount University, Niagara University, Pepperdine University, Samford University, University of San Francisco, Siena College, Saint Joseph's University, Santa Clara University, Stony Brook University, and Towson University.

Founded in 2011, TickPick is reshaping the secondary event ticket marketplace with its no-fees approach. The company does not charge any fees for buyers, setting it apart from competitive firms that charge steep transaction fees. It also leverages its algorithms to look at the price/value ratio for tickets, and then offers value grading for buyers so they can get the optimal experience for their money. Users can also bid on tickets in a process that is similar to financial markets where supply and demand creates a more efficient marketplace. TickPick was founded by Co-CEO's Christopher O'Brien and Brett Goldberg who saw inefficiencies in the ticket marketplace and decided to build a more transparent and cost-effective solution.
