STAFF REPORTS

BEREA, Ohio -- Lucas Simonetti (Pittsford/Pittsford Sutherland High School) is one of five first-year student-athletes to continue men's cross country career at Baldwin Wallace University this fall.

Head Coach Joe Eby, who is in his fifth season, returns six letterwinners and one All-OAC runner from last season's squad, that placed fifth at the 2018 OAC Championships, and ninth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships.

BW opens the 2019 season on Friday, August 30, where they will travel to Wooster to compete in the annual College of Wooster Invitational on the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course at 6:00 pm. Cedarville University will host the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday, September 28, while crosstown rival John Carroll University hosts the OAC Championships on Saturday, November 2.

Baldwin Wallace University, founded in 1845, was one of the first colleges to admit students without regard to race or gender. An independent, coeducational university of 4,000 students, BW offers coursework in the liberal arts tradition in more than 80 academic areas. Located in Berea, 12 miles from downtown Cleveland, BW offers students the cultural, educational and business advantages of a major metropolitan area.
