HEaRD in WNY: Shows for Nov. 7 - 13

This week's featured event is Do It With Malice & Lightning Killed My Parents at Mohawk Place on Friday. Do It With Malice is a five-piece band from Buffalo, NY. Having performed with local and national ska, punk, and reggae acts for over 13 years, Malice plays an amalgam that has been described as ska-core, though the band is admittedly not really sure. Known for its rowdy—and erratically profane—live sets and brutal, metal-influenced themes, Do It With Malice remains an unconventional contributor to the ska-punk scene. Founded in 2004, Do It With Malice has amassed myriad influences while expanding its catalog over its lifespan. Eventually fizzling out in 2012. Lightning Killed My Parents (n): An 8 piece Ska/Rock band originating from across the state of New York that assembles in Fredonia, NY. Formed in late 2010, this band is based on three concepts: having fun, playing music and producing enough energy to make the crowd pass out from sheer excitement. LKMP created a huge following from 2010 to 2013, opening for some of the biggest acts of their genre & touring across the USA. Two giants - both reuniting under one roof. Do It With Malice and Lightning Killed My Parents are both back for ONE SHOW ONLY this Friday, November 8th at Buffalo's Mohawk Place. The Same Sun & Toy Box Brigade start off the night for this ages 18 or older show. Tickets are only $10 presale, get them while you can!
