BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Canisius cross country teams are set to compete at the National Catholic Championships, while select members of the program will participate in the UB Stampede Friday, Sept. 14.

• The men finished with nine runners inside the top-10 and four of the top-five runners during the Little Three Championship.
• On the women's side, the Griffs had seven of the top-10 finishers.
National Catholic Championship Success
• The men's team-best finish came in 2014, when the Blue and Gold took home first place, knocking off host Notre Dame.
• The women's best finish in the event occurred in 2009 when the Griffs finished second.
• In 2017, the men finished fifth while the women placed seventh in their respective races.
• Quinn finished third in the women's race with a time of 17:33.8 a year ago.
• Juniors Anthony Belfatto and Neamtu finished 32nd and 35th respectively last year.

• Senior Alex Cambria finished the race in 30:07.08 on the men's side while sophomore Grace Hausladencrossed the line in 25:45.6 for the women.
Coach Huckle's Take
"We have done very well at the National Catholics in the past with the men winning it four years ago. I don't think we are necessarily at that level where we are going to unseat Notre Dame and the other larger programs, but our goal is to go in and score less than 100 points on each side, that should put us in the top-five for each program."
